What is the NPSH curve of a pump?

The NPSH curve is a data provided by the manufacturer to show, as the flow rate varies, the pressure losses  inside the pump as a result of its design. For a given flow rate value, the NPSH of the hydraulic circuit at the pump suction port must be higher than that required by the pump manufacturer in order to avoid cavitation.
